BOWLING

 

Bowling is the MOST popular sport our team offers due to the fact

EVERYONE has the ability to participate. We offer Wild West bowling shirts and polos athletes, lane assistants & coaches may choose to purchase. Many athletes prefer to have their own bowling ball and shoes but neither are required.

Bowling offers both singles & doubles events. Wild West offers doubles to certain athletes with continued exceptional attendance.

Ramp bowling is available for those who are unable to hold and throw their own ball. Ramp bowlers are required to provide their own lane assistant (see below). Bumpers are NOT used for SO bowling.

Recreational Bowling

Special Olympics bowling season is in the Fall, but for those who want more, a recreational Winter season has recently started. Winter bowling is team compeition instead of individual & has no state competition.

Lane Assistance

Special Olympics allows lane assistance as needed for athletes to fully participate in the sport. Athletes needs to provide their own lane assistants. Before practices begin, all lane assistants must complete level 1 coach training (no exceptions).
